McAfee SiteAdvisor: Do you use it? If you browse a lot of websites that you are not familiar with much, you’d better make use of this awesome product by McAfee. SiteAdvisor gives you safety ratings to all the websites you visit on the Internet. It lets you know if a site is genuine website or a fraud, whether the downloads on the site are safe or not, if there is any adware, spyware, worms, virus problems from browsing the site etc details by changing the colors of its toolbar. You can also view the full safety details of a website by clicking on the small arrow mark on McAfee SiteAdvisor toolbar and then clicking “View site details”. You can also disable SiteAdvisor if you want to browse the Internet without this safety service.
McAfee SiteAdvisor is available for both Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you use both the browsers and want to install the SiteAdvisor addon on both of them, you have to install it on both of them separately. McAfee SiteAdvisor also gives safety ratings to websites when you search with Google, Yahoo, or Live. The safety ratings are given in a small round button, which is shown next to each search result on the Search Engine Results Pages.
